“Phew. I'm satisfied, so satisfied.”
“We really ate a lot.”
Neika and Ryūya rubbed their bellies with satisfaction.
Well, of course, since you guys polished off those Reckless Parfaits... and Neika even ate Riran-san's leftovers on top of that.
If I had these guys do mukbang on a video site, I bet the views would be pretty good.
They've all got such high facial deviation scores, they'd probably go viral.
By the way, both Riran and I are so full we don't need to eat anything else for a while.
The parfaits were truly as reckless as their name suggested. I'm impressed.
The only one here acting like usual is Ryūguin.
She was walking ahead of us, but she turned back with her usual Yamato Nadeshiko-like smile.
“Well then, what should we do after this? Even if we want to play, anything physically active seems like it would be tough for everyone...”
“Yes, yes, yes! Let's go to the batting center! You gotta exercise when you're full!”
Seriously, what is Neika's body made of...?
“Neika-chan. Everyone is exhausted, so let's save that for next time.”
“Boo~. Everyone is so weak.”
You're the only one who's weird, okay?
But, let's see... a place where everyone can rest and play a bit... that would be.
“Hey, how about karaoke? Kuonji looks like she's having a hard time too.”
“I-I'm not having a hard time! I'll do a batting center or whatever else!”
“Which do you prefer: moving right now and throwing up everywhere, or relaxing at karaoke?”
“Exercise right after eating really isn't good, is it!”
She flipped her stance instantly.
Well, honestly, I wanted to rest too, and I can only see a future where I collapse if I try to exercise now. Or rather, I don't want to show such a pathetic sight to these beauties. Especially Riran.
The other three nodded vigorously at my suggestion.
“That sounds good, karaoke. I want to go too.”
“Nice idea, Akky!”
“You're right! We haven't gone lately, so let's sing our hearts out!”
Phew... good, I wasn't rejected.
The karaoke place is close from here, so we won't have to walk much.
Riran shouldn't find that too painful.
...Wait. Haven't I been thinking mostly about Riran today?
...No, let's try not to think too deeply about it.
Even if I'm aware that I like Riran, it's all for naught if she still holds a grudge against me. Looking at her reactions today, it's clear she still feels hostile. She kicked me, and she snapped at me. Slowly, without rushing.
Ryūya and Neika walked in front, followed by Riran and Ryūguin. I walked last.
Walking with this group really makes us stand out. Everyone is celebrity-level beautiful, and Riran especially stands out since she's half-Japanese.
Because of that, my average guy status stands out in a different way. ...I made myself sad just saying that.
We walked for a few minutes. We arrived at the karaoke shop the three of us usually use. It's not a major chain, but the prices are cheap and they have the latest equipment and songs. And above all, the food is delicious. Not that we're eating today.
We paid for free time for everyone and were guided to an empty room.
“Heh... I didn't know there was a karaoke place like this in front of the station.”
Riran, who apparently isn't a total stranger to karaoke, looked around curiously. Well, the exterior doesn't really look like a karaoke shop. If anything, it looks like a bar, which might make it hard for high schoolers to enter.
In the L-shaped sofa, Ryūya and I sat in the two-seater at the back. The other three sat on the front sofa.
“Alright! I'm gonna sing, sing, and sing some more!”
First up, Neika. She operated the panel and put in a song that's currently buzzing on SNS.
“Oh, I know this one.”
“Me too... Neika-chan, you can sing this?”
“I've hardly heard it, though~. Well, I'll manage with some ad-libbing.”
The accompaniment began, and Neika jumped into the song with high energy, starting with the call-and-response. She followed the original key but mixed in ad-libs driven by the mood and momentum. Even so.
“Whoa, Neika's good!?”
“Amazing. It's quite different from the original, but she's so good you'd believe it if someone told you this was how the song goes.”
Yes, Neika is a good singer, but she puts in so many ad-libs that it often becomes a different song from the original. The fact that she still makes you think she's good shows that Neika's skill is considerable.
When the song ended, Neika struck a mysterious pose.
“Hey, hey, hey! Nei is the best!”
“As expected, Neika.”
“Neika, you're incredible!”
“I didn't think you'd be this good.”
“Ehehe, thanks, thanks!”
Neika seemed quite pleased with our praise. The next one to put in a song was Ryūya.
The song was a theme from an anime that recently became a social phenomenon. The original was a female vocal, but Ryūya sang it without any trouble. Not quite as much as Neika, but his singing style combined with his high tension made it fun for us too.
“Soiya! Soiya! Soiya soiya soiya!”
“Thank youuuuu!!”
Ryūya responded to Neika's random call-and-responses. It's hard to believe these guys aren't connected by the Red Thread of Fate when they're so compatible.
Ryūya successfully sang through to the end. Yeah, as expected, he's good.
“Okay, Akito is next, right?”
“Ah... Kuonji, Ryūguin. Is that okay?”
“Yes.”
“I'll leave it to you.”
Well then... in that case.
“...A love song?”
“Heh... that doesn't seem like Sanada-kun.”
“Akky actually likes love songs surprisingly much!”
“It doesn't suit him at all.”
“Hey, you guys, stop saying whatever you want.”
It's my business what I sing. I sang it through, neither particularly good nor bad, with nothing special to mention.
But... Riran and Ryūguin stared at me with dazed faces.
“Amazing... Sanada, you can make such a sweet voice...”
“I-it sounded somehow very erotic...”
“What's that supposed to mean?”
I was just singing normally.
“No, Akito's singing voice is sexy.”
“Yeah, sexy.”
“Eh.”
I've never been told that before. What exactly is a sexy singing voice?
“Sanada-kun, would you mind if I made a request?”
“Ah, me too.”
“Ohh. This looks fun! Akky, me too!”
“Then me too.”
“Wait, hold on! Don't put them all in at once!”
But alas, my resistance was in vain. In the end, I had to sing ten songs in a row and ended up exhausting quite a bit of my physical strength.
